Oxygen Flow Meters
Option OC — Cleaned for Oxygen Service per ASTM G93-96
Safety Notice: Oxygen under pressure can react violently with hydrocarbons and contaminants. Standard meters are not suitable for oxygen service. Option OC provides ASTM G93-96 cleaning, inspection, and sealed packaging required for safe oxygen service.
The RCM Flo-Gage™ Oxygen Flow Meter is the standard 7000/8000 Series gas meter prepared specifically for oxygen service. Each unit is cleaned in accordance with ASTM G93-96, inspected per section 11.4.1.2, then packaged and bagged in polyethylene bags per section 12.1.3 to maintain cleanliness until installation.
Because oxygen meters are individually sized, Option I (Compressed Gas Service) is also required — the gas measured, operating temperature, and pressure at the meter inlet must be provided at time of order. The meter is then calibrated specifically for your oxygen system conditions.
